Phage WA is an initiative dedicated to combating antimicrobial resistance through phage therapy. The team collects bacteriophages targeting specific bacteria, ensures their safety, and aims to treat humans with these phages.
They are involved in clinical trials and have established Western Australia’s first phage manufacturing facility to produce therapies for infections like lung, skin, and ear infections, as well as bacterial infections such as Golden Staph.
