AUMED a.s. was established in 2007 and is oriented in healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, mainly engaged in research, development, and manufacturing of new immunobiological products. The company has registered increased interest in the agents like bacteriophages that would replace the current massive use of antibiotics.
Aumed is among the first companies in the world that successfully incorporated bacteriophages in cosmetic products targeting skin conditions like acne and eczema. What do they have in common is pathogenic bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. This technology stems from Aumed’s bacteriophage drug called Stafal existing on the market since 1980s. Apart from bacteriophages, Aumed is working on developing S. aureus vaccine, whooping cough vaccine or immunomodulating preparation with transfer factors (TFI).
